QUALIFICATIONS:

• DEGREE IN MECHANICAL / MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
• At least 2 years' experience in industrial/factory maintenance (food industry experience would be a bonus)
• Experience providing expertise on the maintenance of plant and equipment
• Good fault finding and root cause analysis skills
• Experience performing preventative maintenance inspections, and proactively managing any mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Experience in managing the maintenance of critical spare
• Maintain machinery and equipment in the departments to maximize operations processing time and minimize any processing downtime.
• Install and commission new equipment and plant in processing departments.
• To respond with urgency to breakdowns as and when required
• Work with the departmental Foreman and Supervisors to ensure priorities are met in the maintenance of Machinery and equipment.
• To liaise and communicate with suppliers on enquiries and orders, representing the Company in a courteous and efficient manner.
• To be forward thinking, looking at continual improvement to the Company’s plant and equipment to maximise efficiency and minimise wastage.
• Ensure equipment maintenance records are maintained at all times and to ensure the plant is maintained in a cost effective manner.
• To record accurate information as required by factory management.
